Wife arrested for strangling husband to death, planned to hang the body with a rope and then…

Meerut police have arrested a woman, Kavita, for murdering her husband Sanjay over a property dispute. Police said the incident came to light after Sanjay’s father, Bhopal Singh, informed them that his son had been killed by his wife. The case was reported from village Tanda Majra under Budhana police station. During questioning, Kavita admitted that she feared her husband would give all his property to the children from his first marriage, so she decided to kill him. According to police, the murder took place on the night of July 26 when Sanjay was asleep. Kavita strangled him and later tried to make it look like a suicide by tying a rope to his body.

At that time, Sanjay’s son Neeshu reached the spot and pretended that his father had died of a heart attack. The body was later taken to the family’s native village, but injury marks raised suspicion and the matter was reported to the police, leading to Kavita’s arrest.

Ashok, a junior engineer and resident of a village in Bhavanpur area, had recently indulged in obscene acts with a young woman and circulated her photos on social media. The girl’s family informed the police station and lodged a complaint. CO Sadar Dehat Shiv Pratap Singh stated that a case was registered against the accused, after which he was arrested and sent to jail.
